Pedals

Goose Effects

Three pedals of my own: the Texas Flood, the Crossfire and the Gooseboost.

All three started as very limited handmade runs, wired by hand on turret boards, one at a time. They are being rebuilt now so they can be made in proper numbers and had more widely.

Every one is built with original Toshiba diodes and transistors. That does not change with the new run.

That work is going on at the moment, so none of the three are on sale yet. More news soon.

The three pedals

The Goose Effects Texas Flood pedal

Texas Flood

Overdrive

A heavily modified overdrive, built for Stevie Ray Vaughan tones with a Strat. Single coils always want a bit of help before they hit the front of an amp, and this gives them that without changing what the guitar sounds like. About thirty were built by hand before the rebuild.

The Goose Effects Crossfire pedal

Crossfire

Overdrive, TS-10 based

A TS-10 Tube Screamer at heart, with Keeley and Landgraff modifications and a few of my own on top. Built to sit better in front of the Filmosound than the original does. The bones are familiar. The voicing is not.

Gooseboost

Clean boost, one knob

One knob, and the knob is volume. In a zebra box, so there is no mistaking it on a dark stage. I use it on the Coodercaster, on the Guyatones and on an ngoni: instruments with low-output pickups that need a stronger signal into the amp to stand level with a humbucker guitar. It does that and nothing else.
